Kayleen Staats is a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) who joined the New Summit team in 2022. She has a masters in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from University of Oregon.
Kayleen has supported individuals with Autism and their families for over a decade. She is passionate about making ABA fun and individualizing learning opportunities. Kayleen believes that “team work makes the dream work” and strives to include learners, their families, and other support personnel to develop meaningful and individualized goals. Kayleen puts an emphasis on teaching communication, play, daily living, and social skills; while also teaching learner’s families to further support their child's development. Kayleen likes to teach others about ABA and believes in promoting an ethical and inclusive approach to teaching.
In her spare time, you will find Kayleen enjoying all of the outdoor activities that Deschutes County has to offer with her husband and dog.
